Taking a quick survey - would these kinds of videos be better if we hammed it up and forced ourselves unnecessarily into the camera shot, put some extra bass in our voice, asked goofball questions, interjected, and nodded a lot to be "influencers?" let us know in the comments.

Trey Knight talks KS-1 at SHOT Show 2024. Before commenting, consider that, no, your 500-dollar AR isn't better or somehow more innovative. Better for YOU and your actual needs? Very possible. That is certainly not a judgment. Not everyone (or most) needs what this gun offers. However, to pretend that a hard-use, battle-proven AR made by KAC doesn't shine for a specific purpose is a cringe-wort...

So a standard 3oz buffer is recommended for a 16” barrel in 5.56 with a mid length system?

So it's obvious the Midwest is the best. I need to buy one of these because I have to uppers to assemble & all I have is the Brownells clam shell. Which is what I've used to assemble my others previously. Now after watching your stuff I wanna go back & check those with the rod also. So considering I'm only gonna be messing with 6 uppers. Do you think the wheel rod would be ok fory situation of not doing this alot? Or should I just get the Midwest?

So can a similar size "normal" cotter pin the same size work or is there something special about a firing pin retaining pin?

My Ruger, AR. 556. is notorious for that. They say to use a punch. to compress. the Cotter pin. when inserting it.

The MOD contract has an option for up to 200,000 rifles. Assuming the initial rifles work out as well as expected, it will be rolled out over the next 5 to 10 years as the new service rifle The biggest delay will be working out the new rifle drill!

In the military, we could fix scratches and shiny spots on the upper, but we couldn't do it on the lower. Though we had dry film lubricant spray that was the perfect shade for the Colt M16A1. The spray was from Plasti Kote. It's like spray on Parkerizing. Great stuff!

I have the real avid. While the lack of a “sail” does put a stress on the index knob while torquing the barrel nut, it is perfectly safe to use it to change muzzle devices since only the barrel lugs are engaged and no torque is applied on the aluminum receiver in that case. For installing the barrel nut, however, a torque gauge is essencial to make sure you don’t exceed the recommended ft/lbs and eventually crack your upper.
